The Upazila Public Health Engineering Office, in collaboration with the Union Parishad in rural areas and involving the municipality in the municipal area, provides infrastructure construction and technical assistance for the development of safe water supply and sanitation system. Notable activities of the Upazila Public Health Engineering Office are installation of safe water sources, quality testing of water, production, sale and free distribution of sanitation materials, repair of tube wells, sale of spare parts for tube wells, extraction, issuance of unique geo code for digital water source identification etc.
